It's a London thing – Mr and Mrs D

Michelle Fiedler worked very closely with Purely Events from the start of our business, designing our wonderful website and also many of our clients invitations to their amazing parties and weddings. I was so delighted when Michelle asked me to organise her wedding to Stew who is an absolutely gorgeous groom. Michelle and Stew’s dream was to have all their friends and family together in a stunning venue where they could dance the night away. Both Michelle and Stew had a great love of London as they both travelled from their home in Hertford to the ‘Big Smoke’ for many years. When I took the lovely couple to Home House in Portland Square they were simply in awe of its stunning ambiance and elegant yet funky design. The date was set and so ensued months of fantastic planning including some of the best invitations and stationary I have ever seen…

The day began with a glass of champagne and a visit from the wonderful Lucy from www.lucybakermakeup.com who created not only a stunning look for Michelle’s wedding day but also for all her hens on her ‘TOWIE’ themed hen party in Essex.

For all those that know Michelle she has a love for the colour green and this was incorporated into the styling and colours of the wedding check out her amazing shoes the sparkly ones are from Dune and the greens ones are from Monsoon.

Choosing the dress was such fun we went to visit www.temperleylondon.com in London but it was our visit to www.jennypackham.com that really made her decide on the style she wanted and she fell in love with the ‘Lisette’ a Grecian style wedding dress with stunning diamonte detail.

The florist was the creative www.scarletandviolet.com. Michelle had a love of wild flowers and she wanted to have a vintage feel to match the eclectic style of Home House. Vic Brotherson and her team from Scarlet and Violet created the most stunning array of table displays and decoration to the Eating Room at Home House.

Purely Events dressed the tables with pretty silver birds provided by Michelle and also the beautifully designed table cards that she designed herself. The stunning silver candelabras and vintage style flowers with the vintage glass and cracked tea lights were visually wonderful for the wedding party to enjoy.

Purely Events loves tea lights so we placed hundreds of cracked glass tea light holders around the front parlour room to give a warm, twinkly feel to the room.

Michelle was introduced to Jo from Burton Bakes who created a stunning wedding cake incorporating Michelle’s love of the colour green and vintage jewellery.

And so the evening events began with the foot tapping, hip shaking, floor filling band that is www.flatpackpanda.com. They really got the crowd going playing their full array of cover songs from the 60s right up to the noughties.

There was just enough time to take a breather and get these amazing shots which were taken by the extremely talented www.davidlongphotography.com.

Photography was such important aspect to Michelle and Stew’s wedding and they were delighted with how David captured all the emotion and unfolded their own personal story with his beautiful photography. The team at Purely Events felt honoured to be part of such and amazing day and to have the opportunity to create beautiful memories that will stay with Michelle and Stew forever.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs D
